The inaugural World Series of Golf was a smashing success. It merged the wagering of No-Limit poker with the skill of golf. Players ante up, then bet, raise, call, check or fold on each shot. The object of the game is not to shoot the lowest golf score, but to get everyone’s chips.

At the Venetian Resort Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas a fourth major poker event has gotten underway, joining those taking place at the Rio, the Bellagio and Binions. This event, the CEO Poker Tour, drew 342 players for their first day of play, awarding $48,238 to Martin El Kher from Denmark as the winner.
