In 1993 Charles Barkley made the declaration that sports figures should not be considered role models. He later validated these words by punching out several NBA players along with the occasional photographer. He may even have kicked a puppy or two. Mr. Barkley does have a point though: sports figures are generally not the best sort of people to hold up as somebody the younger generation should emulate.

The man known as Tony G, whose real name is Antanas Guoga, has a reputation for being a loud mouth at the poker table, but being a sweetheart away from the table. This poker pro took down the Moscow Millions poker tournament recently and right away donated the more than two hundred thousand dollar first place prize money to a local orphanage. It was the sixth season of the popular World Poker Tour show, and this time Mike Sexton and Vince Van Patten were in Paris. It was the Grand Prix de Paris, taking place at the Aviation Club, and the young fellow at the table was gone. 20 year old Philip Yeh of Sweden had gone out in 5th place, leaving only the players from Denmark and Finland to fight it out.
