Annette Obrestad Gets Nod at European Poker Awards

The honor of winning “Tournament Performance of the Year” went to young Annette Obrestad, who is the youngest ever to get the award at the European Poker Awards. This is appropriate because she is also the youngest ever to win a World Series of Poker main event at the WSOP Europe this year. This hot device was up for grabs at a university recently when the Student Union Programming Board Poker Night was held. Boris Becker Heads to Poker

Usually when the term “love” is thrown around in the world of sports it means that Maria Sharapova is either doing another shoot for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit addition, or Tom Brady has struck again, and will be giving a large percentage of his paycheck to yet another model who is baring one of his children. Choosing the Sharapova option would actually be closer to the true meaning of the word in regards to sports.

Amaze Them

An important part of poker is the other players’ perception of you. If they believe that you are a weak or poor player, they will jump on you and try to take advantage of you. If they believe you are a more experienced or skilled player, they will yield to you, allowing you to take advantage of them. Creating a positive, powerful perception amongst the other players is an important step towards dominating the table.

WPT Season 6 - Thomas Is Undone and Bluffs No More

During season six of the World Poker Tour there were many memorable games. One such game, taking place outside the US at the Aviation Club in Paris was the Grand Prix de Paris, where the four remaining Scandinavian players were all showing they had the heart to play the game - and the guts as well.
