Florida Poker Room Hiring Locals

When the laws in Florida started to change to up the limits on betting in No Limit Texas Holdem poker, it was inevitable that jobs were going to be created by the upwelling in demand. This has come to pass as the Orange Park Kennel Club is on the hunt to hire at least 100 poker dealers. Part time dealers can make $25 an hour plus tips, and full time dealers are looking at $50k a year…

Two New Faces on Poker After Dark

They are not new to the poker community but they are new to the tables where NBC hosts their popular late night poker program, Poker After Dark. Gavin Smith and David Oppenheim will be making their debut this season as NBC follows up with a whole new slew of episodes. Oppenheim is a 15-year poker veteran and is known for his limit cash game proficiencies, so it will be interesting to see how he plays in this six-seat winner-take-all no limit tournament…

Bad Weather Good News for Online Poker
