Two men who have been arrested in connection with the assault and robbery perpetrated on an American poker player have appeared in the Melbourne courts recently. The victim, Jason Potter, is a 22 year old poker pro who won $30k playing at the Aussie Millions, and then was knocked over the head in the early morning hours and had the money taken. The two accused, 32 year old Dwayne Johnstone and 26 year old Vhyharn Arumughasamy, did not post bail…

The poker pro from Canada known for his aggressive playing style who isn’t Daniel Negreanu is Gavin Griffin, and Mr. Griffin just made poker history with a WPT victory. With his victory at the 2008 Borgata Winter Poker Open Gavin becomes the first poker player in history to hold victories in three of the most popular poker tours: the World Poker Tour (WPT), the European Poker Tour (EPT), and the World Series of Poker (WSOP.)
