The pro poker player known as “the Magician” has been hired to work some magic for the World Poker Tour. Antonio Esfandiari, who was a pro magician before he became a pro poker player, was hired once before by the WPT to perform magic with cards and coins, and has been hired once more to perform a different kind of magic. A new bill has been introduced by California Assemblyman Lloyd Levine that will take a second look at ways that online poker could be played legally in the state. The California Gambling Control Commission (CGCC) would be doing the research, and the bill would require the CGCC to determine how laws could best be applied to the state.
