Poker Room Outstrips Competitors

Online poker room PKR, the famous 3D poker site that offers a video game style experience during play, has overtaken Ladbrokes Poker and Betfair Poker, two solid performers, according to reports from poker site PokerScout. PKR has been included in PokerScout’s tracking as of the end of last year, and since then the room has been on the rise to overtake the other two in terms of action, or the number of players who are on the site during peak hours. Pro Poker Players Busted

Two men known as professional poker players have been caught with hundreds of thousands of pounds stolen from cash machines. The men, who are brothers, are Mohammed Imran and Mohammed Irfan, and they have had the funds since 2005, when they stole them from ATMs using a system loophole and an expired bank card. The Bank of Scotland and Halifax, upon their merger three years ago, updated their ATM system but left the loophole that was exploited by the two men, who reportedly stole the funds to bankroll a Las Vegas gambling trip…

Online poker room Bodog Poker has been known for their three poker pros - Evelyn Ng, David Williams and Josh Arieh, a close knit group often referred to as the “Rat Pack” of poker. The pack has been enhanced with larger than life poker pro Jean-Robert Bellande, who is known not only for his poker skills but his appearance on the hit TV show Survivor China. Somebody once said for ever action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Chances are this statement was uttered by a guy who just got a wrought iron skillet slammed into his frontal lobe by an angry wife who just learned he spent $10,000 on a big screen television. In Texas Holdem there is generally a reaction when cards are shown on the board. A good flop can neuter some great starting hands. Conversely, an iffy drawing hand can become the nuts if the flop and turn go a player’s way.

Between January 1st and April 15th the citizens of the United States get a collective enema called income tax. It is referred to in this manner because something fairly uncomfortable, in this case IRS paperwork goes in, and stuff comes out - in the case of income taxes this means cash. We won’t even go into the details of the actual procedure. For years tournament casino poker players chuckled while filling out the forms, content that the winnings they stuffed under their mattresses were safe from the little men from the tax office. That is no longer the case.
