Today the 39th annual World Series of Poker will begin with a $10,000 event, something that used to be reserved for the very last game of the series, the Main Event. With the poker boom hitting its stride, with fewer ups and downs, the dust has settled a bit and revealed that more poker players are wanting to play the WSOP than ever, with various abilities to buy in. The result is a wider range of buy ins, going all the way up to the massive $50k H.O.R.S.E. event later on, and more $10k events, those that the pros really consider the “real” events.
