Cunningham Wins WSOP Circuit Event

WSOP Announces Change Confirmation

The rumors were out that the World Series of Poker this year won’t end till November, and the confirmation given by WSOP commissioner Jeffrey Pollack on May 1st settles the matter. WSOP Academy Brings Online Players In

When registrants show up for the World Series of Poker Academy at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas they may be surprised to learn that some of their instructors are online poker pros. Could the 2008 WSOP Final be Delayed?

In the quest to bump ratings and attendance at this and all future World Series of Poker events, the WSOP may delay the final table play of the main event for a few months, in order to broadcast the action live. In the last two years live broadcasting was available, but as a pay per view event. The discussion now is to hold the final table in October, delay the broadcast by a few hours to allow for graphics to be added, and air it for free…

WSOP Adopts Children’s Fundraiser

An official WSOP satellite tournament is nothing to sneeze at, and now the Fort Collins Series of Poker has officially joined the World Series of Poker. The event, which is a charity event raising money for the Realities for Children Triumph Awards Scholarship Fund, gets a big boost in recognition by becoming affiliated with the biggest name in poker. WSOP Europe on TV in April

The first ever WSOP event to take place outside the US is going to hit the airwaves this April, giving poker fans the chance to see for themselves how the first woman, and the youngest player ever, won a championship event at the World Series of Poker Europe. The WSOP Europe event was held in September of 2007 and the winner was Annette Obrestad, who was at the time 18 years old. The 2008 World Series of Poker Europe will take place around the same time as the inaugural event last year, where then-18-year-old Annette Obrestad became the youngest player – and the first woman – to ever win a WSOP Championship event. Atlantic City Poker Events Paying Big

During the World Series of Poker Circuit events in the “Las Vegas of the East Coast”, Atlantic City, players from around the country showed up to play in hopes of striking it rich. During the second event of the series, which will end with a championship event where the winner will secure – in addition to a large cash prize – a seat in the 2008 WSOP main event, two finalists fought round over round for the victory. Caesars Indiana will soon play host to the latest WSOP Academy camp, where poker players pay to learn from the pros the right way to play at the world famous World Series of Poker. The event, which will take place at the Caesars Indiana on March 29th and March 30th, will have instruction by Paul Wasicka, the 2007 NBC National Heads Up Championship winner, as well as Joe Navarro, the former FBI agent now making a living teaching poker players how to read each other.
